Class Descriptions
Vinyasa – All Levels
This is a physically challenging class with a dynamic and flowing sequence synchronizing breath and movement in a heated room. Practicing vinyasa yoga will help to clear the mind and strengthen and stabilize the body. Recommended prerequisite: Vinyasa Flow 1 or Yoga Basics.
Vinyasa yoga was developed in the West largely from the teachings of Ashtanga master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and is most often associated with American teachers Brian Kest, Baron Baptise and Shiva Rae, among others. The sequence can vary widely from one teacher to the next but consistently emphasizes strength and flexibility.
Vinyasa Flow – Level 1
Learn the basic postures and transitions to lay the foundation for your vinyasa practice. Focus is on alignment and building the core strength that will allow you to advance on to our all-levels vinyasa classes. A strong, yet mellow flow.
Dynamic Flow – Level 2
This class offers intermediate to advanced yoga postures linking breath and movement to calm the mind while at the same time challenging the body. Each class builds internal heat, strength, flexibility and proper alignment, while focusing on the breath. A complete mind, body, spirit workout! (Recommended 6-months previous practice)
Yin
Yin Yoga is a passive form of yoga and poses are held for longer periods of time in order to focus on the connective tissues of the body, creating greater flexibility in the spine, hips and legs. This practice is perfect for anyone who wants to advance in their favorite sport or increase flexibility in the lower body. All levels.
